Jody & Kassie Green

Green Rodeo Horses is the winning combination of

husband and wife team, Jody and Kassie Green.

Jody grew up in the small town of Marlow in southern Oklahoma. He began rodeoing as soon as he could confidently throw his rope and was quickly tieing down calves in 10's at the age of 10. He later went on to Oklahoma High School Rodeo and the Mid-South Youth Rodeo Cowboys Association, where he won the MRCA calf roping and all-around titles in 1999. A die-hard football guy, Jody was starting quarterback for the Marlow Outlaws in 1997-98 and the Bray-Doyle Fighting Donkeys in 1999.  When it came time to go to college on either a football or rodeo scholarship, Jody chose rodeo. He attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK and graduated with a  B.S. in Recreation. He twice qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo. He also began his professional rodeo career while attending college. Jody joined the International Professional Rodeo Association(IPRA) and is a 7-Time Qualifier to the International Finals Rodeo(IFR) in Oklahoma City, OK. He also began his Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association(PRCA) career at a young age and qualified for the PRCA Prairie Circuit Finals in 2003. Jody rodeoed all over the United States and Canada gaining experience and that led to finishing in the Top 50 in the world standings of the PRCA in 2009. In 2011, he met a Minnesota girl and ventured up to the north.

Kassie was born and raised in Shakopee, MN, a southwest suburb of Minneapolis. She began riding as soon as she could walk and tried out many disciplines along the way. She did dressage and jumping around the ages of 13-14, but soon discovered the stock breeds were her favorite and began showing hunter under saddle and western pleasure in both the American Paint Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association on a national level. She earned a top 5 Congress title as well as state association year-end awards. Kassie credits her time showing with learning to really ride and working with some amazing trainers along the way. After graduating high school, she attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, ND. That is where she fell in love with the sport of rodeo. Choosing to college rodeo instead of the horse show team led Kassie to experience rodeo life and the great people involved. Through talented coaching and the help of great friends, Kassie became a barrel racer and began learning the ropes. After graduating from NDSU with a B.S. in Agriculture Economics, Kassie moved to the Black Hills of South Dakota. She worked as assistant manager of a bank and continued her riding career and training young horses. She was able to work with some of the best horsemen in western SD and began her professional career in the Womens Professional Rodeo Association(WPRA). In 2011, she returned to Minnesota and began riding full-time. She was introduced to a southern boy and quickly learned what "real" rodeo life was like.

Jody and Kassie began their journey together rodeoing in the PRCA Great Lakes Circuit in 2011. They have had great success since being together and enjoy living everyday under God's amazing grace. They live in Shakopee, Minnesota with their herd of rodeo horses and their three dogs, Bling, an Italian Greyhound, Chinkie, a Red Heeler, & July, an Auggie.
